I have a confession. There is nothing I love more than a day of shopping, getting a pedicure and drinking copious amounts of alcohol with my girlfriends. I know I should say my perfect day involves reading or volunteering or planting trees….but I would really have to be drunk to be that person.
The only problem with my dream day is that I have to travel from place to place, and I have always longed for a business to open where I could kill all those birds with one stone.
Enter File-n-Style. It’s a fusion of clothing boutique and nail salon, conveniently located at 2920 East Colfax. The shop opened last November, and caters to everyone from neighborhood ladies that want a petal-infused spa pedicure to the downtown girl that needs the perfect party outfit. Luckily for that girl, owner Maureen MacArthur gets everything direct from the Garment District in New York City.
Besides a full list of nail services, File-n-Style offers airbrush tanning and opens the store for private parties -- complete with champagne or mimosas. They will also travel to events if you need on-site services.
