Everybody's High

The Colorado General Assembly must be on crack to approve making a song like "Rocky Mountain High" the second official state song. After all, the last time it was proposed as a replacement for "Where the Columbines Grow," soon after John Denver's death in 1997, legislators shot down the proposal almost as fast as the singer's plane had plunged into the sea.

By then, Kenny Be had already done his bit to commemorate Colorado's mop-topped adopted son with "A Funeral Fit for a Folk Legend." Since one good tune deserves another, we're reprising that cartoon here.
