About damn time. As reported on the Denver Infill blog, plans are in the works to include space for a much-needed supermarket downtown at 19th and Chestnut, just west of Union Station. The developer, Nichols Partnership, the same team behind the Clayton Lane complex in Cherry Creek, and the Spire skyscraper planned for 14th and Champa, says the full-service grocery store could possibly be a urban version of King Soopers. Don’t get you wallets out just yet, though. The project isn’t likely to be completed until 2010. –Jared Jacang Maher
