Clothes Call

At 6 p.m. today, All American Vogue will close its doors at 10 South Broadway. It's the end of an era. Of many eras, actually, since Ronnie Crawford's store specializes in vintage Americana.

For the past thirty years, Ronnie has defined cool at a succession of stores on Broadway. But with costs rising and the Internet cutting into his business, he finally decided it was time to give up his physical space and move into the virtual vintage world, too. But first, he's going to clear up the past.

After All American Vogue closes this evening, it will remain closed while a professional estate-sale company goes through the remaining inventory, Ronnie says. And then the storefront will reopen for two, possibly three, weekends of sales, starting January 18-19.

Be there, or be sorry. -- Patricia Calhoun
