To Haiti and Back

A crew of friends from Denver traveled thousands of miles to help the children of Haiti, the Western Hemisphere’s poorest country, and were profiled in the January 3 feature "The Social Conscience of a Missionary." They brought shoes, school supplies, clothes, money and, most importantly, friendship to Haitians from kindergarten to high school.

And now they’re reaching out to more Denverites to get down for the cause.

Tonight at Tonalli, 3810 Pecos Street, the Denver chapter of the International Club of Friendship will present Haitian art and a history of ICOF, as well as how people can get involved in the organization. ICOF members and Westword writer Luke Turf will be on hand to share stories and photos from the recent trip to the island.

The party starts at 7:30 and all caring souls are welcome. For more information call 303-993-8803.
