Want to be a millionaire? Who doesn't? Well, do you own a cat? More importantly, can you think like your cat? And why are we asking these seemingly inane questions?
To determine your eligibility for the Meow Mix Game Show, that's why.
Bring your cat (transported in a carrier) to the JW Marriott Denver at Cherry Creek on Saturday, July 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. or Sunday, July 13 from noon to 6 p.m., to audition for the game show -- a thirty-minute program in which cats and their humans will compete as a team to see which human thinks the most like his or her cat.
The audition process includes a test for potential cat-testants (no, we did not make that word up; Meow Mix did) on general feline knowledge, plus a Hollywood-style screen test to determine that both cat and human look nice on camera. (In other words... no fatties?)
One team from Denver will be flown to Los Angeles for the show taping in August, where they will compete against cat-testants from seven other cities for the chance to win the million dollars, plus a $100,000 donation paid to a local animal shelter. And for every team that auditions, Meow Mix is donating one pound of Wholesome Goodness cat food to Denver's Good Samaritan Pet Center. For details, visit www.meowmix.com. -- Amber Taufen
