Nothing goes with politics and journalists like booze, and no one does booze better than Denver – the drunkest city in America according to Men’s Health magazine.

While bars all over town have come up with special concoctions to celebrate the Democratic National Convention next week, at least four local breweries took it to the next level, planning months ahead for their own special DNC beers.

And Maker’s Mark has also gotten into the act, releasing commemorative bottles of its bourbon in Denver and Minneapolis, where the Republican National Convention will be held in early September.
