Roommate hunters on Craigslist must have thought they lucked out when they first spotted a September 24 posting about a shared space on Capitol Hill that seemed quite the steal: "$200 with some requirements," reads the post’s title. Unfortunately, those “requirements” are a tad, um, particular.

"Looking for stripper to split a small apartment with me. No smoking. No television," reads the terse posting in full.

How crazy is that! No television? Who ever heard of a shared apartment with no television! Still, $200 is pretty cheap. I’m off to put on my tear-away pants and banana hammock and submit an application. -- Joel Warner
