Jon Caldara wants you to buy his sock puppets
"Jon Caldara, Colorado's Wackiest Conservative, Socks it to 'Em," a blog published earlier this month, concerned a YouTube video assembled by the Independence Institute's Jon Caldara to pimp Amendment 49, which he calls an "ethical standards" measure (and opponents portray as an anti-worker initiative). What was so unusual about it? Caldara performs his pitch using sock puppets -- which he is now trying to sell. Yep, an assortment of puppets, including the one pictured here (in the clip, Caldara says it looks "hot"), are up for bid on eBay. Foot fetishists who don't mind their money going toward a yes-on-49 fund can bid until October 31. Be warned, though: They're not cheap. As of now, the item has attracted sixteen bids, and the price is currently $47. Clearly, the sock market is in better shape than the stock market.
