Travis Henry joins busted Broncos Hall of Shame

Travis Henry when he was running from defensive linemen, not the law.

Former Denver Broncos running back Travis Henry's arrest yesterday on federal cocaine charges doesn't exactly put him in exclusive company. Indeed, he's the second high-profile Broncos ball carrier in the past couple of years to be busted in ugly fashion shortly after leaving the team. Recall that in August 2006, onetime Ohio State star turned Denver castoff Maurice Clarett led cops on a highway chase before being taken into custody and charged with carrying a concelead weapon. (He actually had four -- all of them loaded.) And that's not to mention those players who've gotten into trouble with the law while still on the Broncos payroll. Here's a recent blog roundup of arrested developments, Broncos style, prompted by the off-the-field troubles of mondo-gifted wide receiver Brandon Marshall. Note that one of the thirteen entries on the roster includes Brian Griese, who'll be returning to his old stamping grounds this weekend at the helm of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Remember not to drink and drive while you're here. -- Michael Roberts
