• My car was towed away and I can not afford to get it back am I just out of a car that seems so unfair to me

• Yes, the system often makes mistakes, and overlooks and allows renewals, or shows no unpaid violations, then years or decades after the offense it mysterious re-appears. Sometimes it represents a PAID violation that the system mistakenly and spontaneously flags as unpaid. It happens to 1000s of people. But in Colorado, parking tickets do not affect a Driver's License, only moving and traffic violations, and some drug related misdemeanors, felonies, etc. Other states may have stronger laws that provide more leverage to unpaid parking tickets.

• Well tell me if I had a unpaid moving Violation ticket 26 years ago I wouldn't have been able to renew my License as I said driver License have to be renewed every 8 years so that ment that the ticket was over looked twice and not only that my insurance co reviews my record every month and I have been with that same Co. for years. So what do you think is really going on.

• Driver's Licenses are not put under restraint in Colorado for unpaid Parking Tickets. Moving Violations and other unpaid Traffic Offenses can restrain a Driver's License.

• I have you beat I was told yesterday that my drivers license was under restraint because of a unpaid ticket that I had in 1986 that is twenty six years ago. since that time I have had my drivers license renewed at lease twice, I have had insurance all that time and as you know a insurance company is not going to give you insurance if you have a unpaid ticket I believe that something is going on in the police depeartment that is playing games with driving records. I don't know how to fight this type of thing. Oh yes did I say my car was towed.

• I just got one of these.  Seems legit.  But I'd rather go downtown and pay it.  If I'm going to.

• I too recieved a letter just yesterday from the same firm about a vehicle I have not owned for over three years! I assume it is a mistake but I immediately tried to contact the attorneys listed 800# and sat on hold yesterday for over an hour and NEVER got to speak to a real person to try and clear up this mistake. I am disabled and dont get out much so I am sure it is a mistake as I NEVER travel toll roads...they certainly make you feel like a criminal or bad person when you read their verbiage on the letter. They are asking for $75 from me....If I had that kind of money perhaps I would consider using the toll roads...LOL Cindy

• Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP (based out of Texas) are now operating a scam in conjunction with the private e470 toll owners. Here's how it works - e470 "forgets" to send out a toll notice. After 2-3 months, Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP sends out a letter informing you that you never paid the toll and now the total is now 1000% or more than the original amount. So I did some digging and asked the e470 CS rep when the original notice for payment due was sent out. She (Mary) said they had never sent one and was sorry for the mistake. However, she said that they can't take off the penalties and late fees! If you dispute it, you risk a credit rating hit. Of course they are banking on that fact that most folks will just pay the extra $$ and walk away.

• I too have been receiving letters from Linebarger Goggan Blair & Sampson, LLP for the last 3 yrs for a parking violation in Miame-Dade County, Florida. I have NEVER been to Florida! The vehicle tag # they have did belong to one of my vehicles but here in Nebraska we turn our plates in and they get reissued. We had owned this license plate for maybe a year then started getting these letters for a violation supposedly back in '03...3 yrs BEFORE we even had this license plate! The vehicle they say it was on was a white Honda..NEVER have owned such a vehicle! After the first letter I was concerned so I called Miame-Dade County they said all I had to do was send them a copy of my current vehicle registration the license plate was on. I did, have never once heard from them before letter or after. But about every 6 months another letter comes form Linebarger. After last one I called the Sheriff's office told them whole story they said sounds like a scam. Don't do anything with it. But when will the letters STOP! I will not give them a dime!

• I received notice of a ticket for parking my "Audi" on Broadway. I don't own an Audi and I can't remember the last time I drove on Broadway let alone parked there. One of my wife's co-workers received a letter for a ticket issued on Colfax, also to the wrong make vehicle. There is definately something rotten in Denver.

• I received a similar notice from the same law firm, for a ticket allegedly from 2001. Problem is, the ticket was supposedly issued for a Volvo, and I drive a Honda. It's also a location where I've never parked, for a ticket I never received. Sure smells like a scam to me!

• I just received the exact same letter for the exact same amount for the exact same year. This is typical City of Denver B.S. The last episode I had with them was over a library book they said I never returned and they threw it into collections. Even when I offered to pay the fine for something I didn't do, plus pay their collection fee, the collection agency and the Denver Library specifically denied my request to remove it from my credit report, stating that it accurately reflected my history. Way to see the big picture Mr. Librarian. Anyway, we ended up settling the dispute outside of the courts. This thing, I'm just going to pay up, but only via certified mail return receipt requested with copies of all documents. These jokers will try to pull anything they can to get a little extra. And if they harass me or screw up in any way at all, I will absolutely turn around and sue them.
