Ryan Frazier on Amendment 47’s failure

Aurora city councilman Ryan Frazier was largely unflappable during his beleagured year-long attempt to pass Amendment 47, the right-to-work ballot issue he sponsored; see the Westword feature "Ryan Frazier Puts His Job On the Line for Amendment 47" to learn more. And he’s just as composed confronting the amendment’s failure yesterday (voters rejected it 55 to 44 percent). In a cheerful e-mail sent this morning, he wrote, “It was a spirited campaign and now the matter is settled. I congratulate the opposition. Now we must all come together as Coloradoans and Americans to move our country forward.”

As the country moves forward, it will be interesting to see Frazier’s next political move. -- Joel Warner
