Seriously, the books and art coverage was a joke, the foreign reporting ridiculously dumbed down, and the editorial pages reflected exactly the kind of jingoistic pro-war sentiment and insane slavishness to the unfettered free market that�s pretty much buried the fucking country. The rag was a mish-mash of AP retreads, idiotic smear campaigns, insane editorializing, and horseshit puff-pieces about thirty-year-old schoolbus accidents, or what the fuck ever, written in breathless prose that wouldn�t be out of place in a Lifetime production. (Seriously, Kevin Vaughan�s sentimental hack work could send fucking Wally Lamb on a week-long meth bender.) As citizens of Denver, we oughtta build a fucking monument to Scripps for flushing this steaming pile of shit.
