Denver International Airport's giant blue "Mustang" sculpture -- and the controversy surrounding it -- has gone national. Public debate sparked by local realtor Rachel Hultin's Facebook group "DIA's Heinous Blue Mustang Has Got to Go" -- a development first reported by Westword -- has spread across news outlets and this weekend reached the pages of the Wall Street Journal.

One of the most interesting parts of the WSJ article was its use of the most outrageous, face-melting photo of Luis Jimenez' Mustang sculpture imaginable (above), an image destined to be tattooed on some drunken dude's neck. And it turns out the photo is courtesy of Denver International Airport! It takes some serious cojones to rock a promotional photo like this -- one that puts every other airports' wussy promotional materials to shame. To see what we mean, check out the slideshow linked above, in which we've pitted this official DIA Mustang photo with other airport promo images in a bad-assness death match. Two images enter, one image wins.
