Kenny Be's Worst-Case Scenario: This Denver Union Station development will please planners and preservationists

Categories: Kenny Be/Comics

Economic downturns often see the greatest upswing in old feuds. In keeping with this great tradition, the Open Space Initiative Group is back to do battle with the Regional Transportation District over the Union Station Master Plan. OSIG wants the space around the historic train station to be a public square, which is at odds with RTD's redevelopment plans to accommodate additional commercial space in a pair of "bookend buildings."

Why rehash old arguments when a perfectly serviceable solution is available in the above comic, which originally ran on June 24, 2004. Click to enlarge.
