While the Aurora Police Department still hasn't officially confirmed that eighteen-year-old Darius Murray was the person seriously wounded in an officer-involved shooting over the weekend, complaints from his family about so-called "inconsistencies" in the APD's reports prompted the following statement from Police Chief Daniel J. Oates: "There is no question in my mind that this shooting was justified. The suspect was armed and attempted to kill two police officers. We will not be responding to allegations by the family. We will make our case against this suspect in a court of law."

Of course, these four sentences certainly seem like a response to the family's allegations. Whatever the case, don't expect silence from the Murray camp.
