Boulder Police Department press release:

Police release composite sketch of robbery suspect

Police are releasing a composite sketch of a suspect who was involved in an armed robbery on Wednesday, May 6, on north Broadway. This man and another suspect are believed to have been involved in two previous robberies in the same vicinity over the past couple of weeks. Investigators are asking for the public's assistance in identifying and locating them.

The most recent robbery occurred on Wednesday, May 6 around 9:30 p.m. in the 4400 block of north Broadway. A male victim had just parked his motorcycle when he was approached by two Hispanic men. The first was described as 5 feet, 9 inches, and about 180 pounds with dark hair in a ponytail and a mustache. He was wearing dark colored pants and a dark blue or black hooded sweatshirt. This suspect was holding a handgun and ordered the victim to hand over his wallet. The second suspect was shorter, about 5 feet, 3 inches, and described as "stout." He had short dark hair and mustache. He was wearing a lightweight dark-colored jacket over a white shirt and dark-colored "Cintas-" type uniform pants. A few minutes after the suspects ran away, the victim saw an older model red, four-door sedan, possibly a Buick or Oldsmobile, with tinted windows speed out of a nearby parking lot. The vehicle rode a little low in the back and appeared to have possible damage to the rear bumper. The victim in this case was not injured.

The previous robberies occurred on Friday, April 10 at 2:15 a.m. at Broadway and Portland Place and on Sunday, April 26 at 7:30 p.m. in the 4300 block of north Broadway. Neither of these cases involved a gun, but in each of these incidents, the victim was injured. No additional details are being released at this time because the investigation is ongoing.
