Mile High Murder, No. 10: Nadine Nicole Montoya now wanted in 6th Avenue and Broadway hit and run

Following a May 29 hit-and-run that killed 49-year-old Lillian Verdonkschot near a Burger King in the vicinity of West 6th Avenue and Broadway, the Denver Police Department announced the arrest of a suspect named Dawn Marie Gonzales -- but a few days later, Gonzales was released. Now the DPD has another suspect in its sites: Nadine Nicole Montoya, 26. On Friday, May 29, 2009 in the early morning hours, investigators determined that an unknown suspect intentionally struck victim, Lilian Verdonkschot, age 49, with a vehicle in the parking lot of the Burger King restaurant, 600 N. Broadway Street in Denver. Verdonkschot later died as a result of injuries sustained in the attack.

During the investigation, detectives identified Nadine Nicole Montoya, aka Nadine Carter, DOB 05-26-83, as a suspect and obtained an arrest warrant for investigation of First Degree Murder.
