Earlier today, the Denver Police Department put out a release about a call made in regard to a reported shooting at the intersection of Bruce Randolph Avenue and York Street, an area captured in the graphic above (if you have problems seeing the image, click "View Larger Map"). No victim was there, because family members had already transported him to Denver Health, where, according to the Denver Coroner's Office, he died late last night. His name was Edgar Nunez, and he was just 21.

The brief DCO press release is below:

On May 30, 2009 Edgar Nunez, age 21 of Denver, Colorado died at the Denver Health Medical Center of an apparent gunshot wound. The cause of death is penetrating gunshot wound and the manner of death is homicide. Requests for an autopsy report when it is completed can be made via email.
