You biked to work today. Good for you, and for everyone else who pedaled in for Bike to Work Day. But now you're bone-tired pooped, and the return trip isn't looking so great, right? So relax, take your time, hang a bit while the pavement cools. It's easy at this evening's Cactus Bike from Work Bash, a full-service excuse to rest on your bike-hugging laurels (and your sore butts), courtesy of the Platte Valley ad agency Cactus.

Biked-to-workers on the downside of their trip are invited to enjoy a happy hour spread of Illegal Pete's burritos, Breckenridge Brewery beer and Amp energy drinks while observing stunt bikers from Yellow Designs and bumping wheels with the Denver Roller Dolls security squad. The main event, however, is a Wish for Wheels benefit tricycle relay race, featuring five-member teams making fools of themselves for charity. That's all you'll need for the extra push home.

The free goings-on take place in the Cactus parking lot, 2128 15th Street, near 15th and Little Raven streets, from 5 to 8 p.m. Free bike valet service will also be available. To register a team for the tricycle race, go to ad2denver.org in advance (the team entry fee is $100) -- or get event details at the Cactus blog page.
