Twitter Tuesday: Librarians on Twitter? Hot!
Back again with three more great Twits to follow (sure, that sounds insulting, but Tweeters just sounds stupid) for your burgeoning Twitter feed. And as always, follow us at @denverwestword, @cafewestword and @casciato.
TweetDenver: TweetDenver is a Twitter aggregator -- they seek out and reTweet others' cool stuff. In other words, if you want to stay keyed in to what is happening in Denver but don't have the time or energy to seek out and follow every new organization that finds its way onto the service, TweetDenver is a kind of one-stop shop.
DenverLibrary: If you use the library at all, the Denver Library's Twitter feed is a good follow. Recent tweets from the library have asked for shelvers, reminded me the book sale starts Friday (awesome, I'd totally forgotten it was coming up) and pointed me to this fun calculator that tells me that based on my usage, I get about $35 of value for every $1 of taxes I pay to the library -- which seems like a good deal to me.
It's not only a useful feed, but a cool one. I love to see such a core part of the old media landscape embracing new media and doing it well.
Tara_Librarian: Speaking of library action, this librarian seems to have her finger on the pulse of what's cool around town. Her feed is both entertaining and enlightening, and her personality shines through beautifully (not always easy to do in 140 characters or less). Perhaps slightly less useful than this week's other follows, but if her taste and style click with you, she's likely to be a favorite.
