Cherry Creek High School grad Matt Iseman has covered as lot of ground since leaving Creek behind for Princeton, then med school at Columbia and a residency back home at CU. That's when he pulled the old switcheroo and quit doctoring altogether to stand up and tell jokes in Hollywood. But in Iseman's case, the move proved spectacular: The current host of Sports Soup on the Versus network and a member of the Style network's Clean House team, he's appeared in various television roles and in the summer blockbuster Transformers 2; over the years, he's also toured worldwide as a comic, entertaining U.S. troops in numerous foreign locations, from Kosovo to Iraq.

It's hard to believe a guy with that much on his plate has time to entertain the troops back home, too, but damned if he isn't taking the stage right here at the Comedy Works South, 5345 Landmark Pl., Greenwood Village, for a four-night, six-show stand, beginning at 7:30 p.m. this evening. A sample: "Why doesn't Kim Jong Il like Motown? Because, try as he might, one thing he doesn't have is SEOUL!" Your kind of humor? Give him a hero's welcome: Admission ranges from $15 to $23; go to www.comedyworks.com or call 720-808-7625 for reservations.
