Today's featured event: The Rockies roll into the second half tonight at Coors Field

The Colorado Rockies kick off their second-half home opener against the Diamondbacks tonight at Coors Field on a high note, after yesterday's 6-1 win in San Diego, which gave starting pitcher Jason Marquis his league-leading twelfth win. But Jim Tracy and the boys (and you and me) all know that every win counts now, at the beginning of the long stretch to October, especially when meeting two old and close foes, Arizona and San Francisco, one after the other. Still, today's scheduled starter, the lefty Jorge De La Rosa, is an emerging pitcher with a long string of wins during the last six weeks, and the offense behind him seems to know no bounds.

Go on, see who gives it a ride, all the way to the wild card or beyond: Tonight's matchup, the first of a three-day stand against the D-backs, starts at 6:40 p.m. at Coors Field; for tickets go online or call 1-800-388-ROCK.
