Denver District Court Judge Larry Naves played the tough guy last week when he issued his ruling in the Ward Churchill case -- not only refusing to give the controversial former University of Colorado prof his job back, but also tossing the entire lawsuit, determining that the CU Board of Regents were acting in a quasi-judicial mode when they fired Churchill. And tossing in a host of other compelling arguments just in case an appeals court doesn't buy that.
And what thanks did his tough ruling get? A flier that depicts the judge as Mr. T, which suddenly appeared at the courthouse last week.
