Odd couples show off their fun bags for Denver Mag

In today's Denver Post, media writer Joanne Ostrow takes on the September cover of Denver Magazine, in which Channel 31 stars Libby Weaver and Natalie Tysdal are transformed from anchors to shank-ers. After spotlighting quotes from Weaver and station exec Carolyn Kane shrugging off any scent of controversy over the couples' quasi-salacious pose, Ostrow essentially suggests that, given the difficulties the TV industry currently faces, a flirty image of personalities not exactly near the top of the Cronkite Credibility Scale is no big deal -- a wholly defensible thesis, albeit one that sort of undermines the rationale for writing an article on the subject. Then again, it gave the Post an excuse to run that lesbionic shot of Libby and Nat. Does it seem hot in here to you, too?

As for us, the cover got us thinking: What would other pairs of Denver celebs look like in this kinky scenario? With the help of Westword Photoshop wizard Craig Hoggatt, we present the answers. Check out John Hickenlooper and Bill Ritter above, and then click "Continue" to ogle Josh Penry and Scott McInnis, Dan Caplis and Craig Silverman, Jay Cutler and Josh McDaniels, Clint Hurdle and Jim Tracy and, of course, Tom Martino and Adam Cayton-Holland. Who look more than ready to kiss and make up.

Josh Penry and Scott McInnis make nice. Really nice.
