When Furries Attack: The Furry Convention descends on downtown Denver

• It is their own thing. If people should be allowed to flaunt certain fetishes like piercings and tattoos or even their religion by wearing a cross furries should be allowed to wear what they want. When it comes down to it in the end everyone bleeds the same. No race, religion, lifestyle of fetish should ever change the opinion of someones mind just because of that itself. If that person is a good friend and you've known them all your life, then what the hell makes them so bad to like something of their own? I have never not once discriminated against someones race or religion, nor have I ever pushed mine on someone else. I live and let live just as everyone else should, and to the stupid comments like "yiff in hell, furfag". Stuff like that, one. Not every furry is gay. That's just stupid to even assume so, and two. If your christian or catholic, I wanna point this out to you real quick. You have no right to judge yourself. Why not check the bible since you think you do have that right. If you are true to your religion you would know only your supposed "God" has the right to judge others. LEAVE THEM ALONE AND LIVE YOUR OWN LIFE. Just because your life is going to shit for what ever reason you have doesn't mean you have any reason what so ever to bring others down with you.

• Better then tearing someone down for reasons unknown, or for no reason at all for that matter. So what if you don't like it? Some people argue about religion, some over race. Does that change the person themselves for who they are? No. Its the Hippocrates like you that think so, and that is exactly what is tearing the world apart from each other.

• I'm sure after a furry buys a $3000 suit, sex is the last thing on their mind when they are wearing one. Especially when they are posing for a camera, they probably aren't horny. If you think they are horny in the suits with a camera, then you shouldn't tell your wife that (she'll think your a pervert for the boner on wedding day portraits).

• Whoa. They wore those costumes in the summer? I feel like I'm dying if I need to wear long sleeves in the heat and they're wearing full body fur. I have got to respect that. Some of those costumes look really well made too. A lot of time and energy went into them. Personally, as long as they don't start humping my legs, I say more power to them. • I have been reading other articles about the con, and they all say stuff like furries are "men and women who like to dress up in animal costumes." this just isn't the case, people. Not all of us want to morph into an animal or dress up like one. I like being a human and it took me 7 years before I even got the tail I am wearing in the picture above. I don't think I will EVER get a fursuit (animal costume). but I guess the sensationalists at most news sources don't care about us uninteresting furries who don't dress in an animal costume and don't even want one.

• Hey, I was there and it was pretty fun to just hang out and talk with people who shared a common interest. Funny how so many people either A: point to the CSI episode, B: "fursecute" because they think it's funny/shock value, C: Think that all furry is is just furfags having sex in costume (it's hard enough having sex under a bunch of blankets, let alone full-body costumes), or D: Furry is all about fetishes. To set the record straight along with others who've posted similar comments: Furries are just normal folks who like animals, and find an affinity for them. If you honestly think that all the shit /b puts out is true (about furs or anything), then take the time to go to a furcon, like this, and look for yourself.
