David McCoy.
We're about to start your day on a disturbing note. Apologies in advance.

This is the way the Boulder Police Department tells the story:

So... there's this guy, David McCoy, who says he operates a media business called (ahem) Zeus Pegasus International, and he needs somebody to run camera for him. A man from New Jersey needed the gig, so he flies here for a meeting, and upon his arrival, McCoy suddenly declares that he's a doctor and a psychologist, and he wants to conduct some "trust-building exercises" -- the kind that involve watching the job hopeful shower and giving him what are described as "false medical exams" involving "inappropriate" and "sexual" touching. Turn your head and vomit.

Shockingly enough, the BPD would like to introduce Mr. McCoy to a nice cell. Read the department's take below.

Police seek convicted sex offender facing new allegations

Boulder police are searching for a 56-year-old Boulder man in connection with allegations that he lured a man to Colorado from another state by promising him employment, then subjected him to false medical exams and touched him in inappropriate and sexual ways. The suspect, David McCoy, date of birth of 8/29/53, is at large. Police are requesting the public's help in locating him.

The victim, a 26-year-old man from New Jersey told investigators that he met McCoy in New Jersey in July. McCoy told him he owned a production company called Zeus Pegasus International LLC and offered him possible employment working as a camera freelancer for live television events in Colorado. The victim flew to Colorado on Aug. 26 for what he believed to be a one-week interview and training opportunity.

Once he arrived, McCoy told the victim that he would be staying at his home, at 60 S. Boulder Circle, Unit 6022, and would have to participate in a number of trust-building exercises. More than once, McCoy said that he was a doctor and a psychologist. McCoy told the victim he would have to undress for medical exams, watched him shower and subjected him to unwanted touching. The victim became suspicious and reported the behavior to Boulder police on Aug. 27.

Police have been unable to locate McCoy since. He is described as a black male, about 6 feet, 3 inches, and 160 pounds. A photo is attached to this release. He is known to drive a 1998 Jeep Grand Cherokee with Ohio plates EVW8004. McCoy has also used the name Greg McCoy.

McCoy has a history involving sexual offenses. He was convicted of sexual charges in Ohio in 1978. Laws at the time did not require him to register as a sexual offender.

Anyone with information about this suspect or his whereabouts is asked to call Detective Traci Cravitz at 303-441-3345. Those with information who wish to remain anonymous should contact the Northern Colorado Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477) or 1-800-444-3776. Tips can also be submitted via the Crime Stoppers Web site at www.crimeshurt.com. Those submitting tips through Crime Stoppers that lead to the arrest and filing of charges on a suspect(s) may be eligible for a cash reward of up to $1,000 from Crime Stoppers.
