Dino Costa goes national -- Siriusly

Westword profile subject Dino Costa places first among controversial radio sports yakkers in Denver -- and probably in the same position when it comes to the person his colleagues would most like to see flop. No wonder so few tears fell after he parted under much-debated circumstances from the now-defunct DenverSportsRadio.com shortly after he helped found it. But sorry, Dino haters: Costa's got a new gig, and it's a plum one. Starting tonight from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m., The Dino Costa Show debuts on Sirius/XM Radio's "Mad Dog" channel, developed by New York personality Christopher "Mad Dog" Russo. The show can be heard on channel 123 on Sirius, channel 144 on XM. According to Costa, responding via e-mail, the program will follow Russo's Monday through Friday, "and I am contracted to do thirty Saturday programs each year after pro and college football season is over." He adds that "concurrent with all of this, I am in the midst of creating a much bigger and much better online radio initiative, with the details to be released shortly."

Consider yourselves warned.
