Or, indulge the art lover in you at the opening reception for the Denver Plein Air Arts Festival exhibition, featuring 120 works by artists who participated in the annual September festival in the Golden Triangle Museum District by painting area sights on location. Juried by Jil Rosentrater of the Colorado Council of the Arts, Rose Frederick of the annual Coors Western Art Exhibit and Dean Sobel of the Clyfford Still Museum, the show is a colorful splash of familiar Civic Center sites, painted in a variety of styles; it opens tonight from 6 to 9 p.m. on the seventh floor of the Denver Central Library, 10 West 14th Avenue Parkway.
