What a deal: Prostitute allegedly offered a bonus with sex -- a possible case of AIDS
It's my understanding, reached via careful research conducted in the name of journalism, that some prostitutes have specialties beyond the old in-n-out. But if the Denver District Attorney's Office is correct, the extra offered by Darren Garcia, 29, probably wasn't appreciated as much as, say, the Dutch Lobster, which sounds simultaneously agonizing and delicious. He's been charged with taking part in acts of prostitution despite knowing that he's HIV-positive.
Darren Garcia reportedly had a three-letter secret he didn't share with his customers.
Thanks but no thanks, Mr. Garcia. I think I'll try the Beached Dolphin instead. Get the rest of the lowdown below:
HIV POSITIVE MALE CHARGED WITH PROSTITUTION
Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey has formally charged a man accused of prostitution with knowledge that he is infected with HIV.
Darren Garcia (dob: 02-24-80) is charged with prostitution with knowledge of being infected with acquired immune deficiency syndrome (F5) as well as possession of a controlled substance (F6).
The charges allege that on November 6, 2009 Garcia offered to perform sexual acts in exchange for $50.00 and during the investigation he was also allegedly found to be in possession of crack cocaine. Garcia has been arrested and charged for similar acts numerous times.
Garcia remains in custody in the Denver County Jail; his bond is set at $75,000. He is scheduled to appear in Denver County courtroom 12T for a formal advisement of the charges on Friday, November 13, 2009 at 9 a.m.
