Timothy Barajas, the cagey graffiti writer known as KOZE, was sentenced Tuesday to two years of probation and 180 days in jail, half of which will be suspended as long as Barajas doesn't commit any new crimes. He was also ordered to pay $1,360.66 in restitution.

The sentence was much lighter than the year of jail time that Denver Deputy DA Melissa Fox had requested, especially considering the amount of time and effort that Denver police spent looking for Barajas over the years.

The onetime leader of the the TKO graffiti crew, Barajas, 27, was found guilty on three counts of criminal mischief, three counts of defacing public property and one count of trespassing earlier this year.
