In December, King Soopers employees approved a new contract offer, while Safeway workers rejected pretty much the same package. But Albertsons staffers were mostly silent -- until now.

According to the United Food and Commercial Workers Local 7 website, "Albertsons has offered a tentative agreement for Denver, Colorado Springs and Grand Junction workers." Moreover, a slew of so-called "Ratification/Strike meetings" have been set up for voting purposes, with the first taking place in Denver tomorrow; employees in Colorado Springs will cast ballots on Friday, while those in Grand Junction are slated to weigh in next Tuesday.

An interview request has been placed with UFCW Local 7. We'll update this blog upon receiving a reply.
