David Sirota-Sean Paige cage match scheduled -- with honor of Colorado Springs on the line!

• Shill Robinson, Since all those "falsehoods" espoused by Sean Paige are publicly available, please without further adieu, direct us to those links. Put up or shut up! You know nobody is going to go ask Paige�s former colleagues; telling them to do so doesn�t lend any credibility to your claims. Your actions illuminate the liberal lapdog you obviously are. Like Sirota, you attack the messenger, rather than the message. Sal Alinsky's last refuge; if you can't denounce the message, denounce the character of the messenger! Paige has nothing to do with our budget woes. He has been on the city council for less than 5 months. We the voters shot down the tax increase that was placed on the ballot, and we repealed a storm water tax that was illegally billed as a fee. The lack of revenue being collected is because people aren't spending money. If Sirota's main argument is that the homeless are being ousted from camping on public property and that social services are being reduced for these people, he better wake up and smell the coffee. Paige has spent serious time in DC around partisan bickering, Sirota is going to get torn up if that�s the path he chooses. Take note Sirota isn�t attacking the Democratic Republic of Boulder for fining their homeless population $100 for sleeping in its public parks and jailing them. That in itself illustrates that indeed, Sirota's claims are nothing more than an attack on the conservative population in Colorado Springs. Sirota neglects to mention that the Colorado Springs community has provided a way to offer more indoor housing for these people, and that there is a grace period for them to start looking for other options. They are not being neglected, Siroto is full of it; interviews have been published in the Gazette where homeless people state that �you are a fool if you go hungry in Colorado Springs.� He better pack his lunch if that is what he is basing his contentions on. The Colorado Springs isn't crumbling, we are rolling back our tax base by choice. The cities that aren't experiencing budget woes are far and few between. Government has inflated itself beyond sustainability, and now there is no money to pay for it. Sirota mocks page for being a �so called� family values conservative, which is nothing more than a bunch of ballyhoo to build up his image. If Sirota advocates that our society live in the lap of luxury now, at the expense of our children's future, then maybe he needs to practice some family values himself. The fact of the matter is that Paige is not a far right conservative, he is a libertarian. Many did not want him on council because of his liberal views. The bottom line is that Sirota and �Shill� Robinson are both lapdogs for the Democratic Party,l and they are looking for a way to give conservatives in Colorado a black eye. Intentionally, [at least in Sirotas case, as I think Vill is too dumb to know up from down] while bashing the conservative administration in Colorado Springs for a 38 million budget shortfall, Sirota neglects to mention Denvercratic Mayor, Hickenlooper, not having a solution to Denver�s $160 million budget shortfall. I'd guess Sirota would argue that California and Michigan are thriving because of their far left loony liberal fiscal policies too. And let�s not talk about Colorado's budget woes at the state level, the Democratic Party running the state is only 150 Million short on balancing next years budget. Apparently, the campaigning has begun. Instead of attacking an individual�s character, the liberal loons are now denigrating entire cities. The fear and paranoia brought on by the win in Massachusetts has obviously set in pretty deep.

• Paige had a well-deserved reputation as the Gazette's editorial page editor...as an editorialist addicted to the use of falsehoods and other misinformation to support his extremist reactionary ideas. Talk to the news staff at the Gazette who were there during his tenure to gauge the embarrassment about his work. Sirota can be bomb-thrower, but in this case he's right. Paige is attempting to defend the crumbling core of a good city via the red herring of attacking the boy who has pointed out that the emperor isn't wearing clothes. Paige is all for limited government, as long as it doesn't mean ending Uncle Sam's largesse to the huge defense presence in the Springs. Heaven forbid that he stand up for the public safety people who protect the city and are seeing their abilities compromised by teabaggist fiscal ideas, or for his neighbors (guess how many wish that he'd move out of town?) whose streets and parks are deteriorating.
