Peeps trial delayed: Easter to go ahead as scheduled

Carol "Chay" Burdick and her Peeps have been left hanging.
Last week, we told you a story involving Carol "Chay" Burdick, a Boulder resident going to court against her landlord after she was told to remove an Easter display featuring marshmallow Peeps or face eviction.

Unfortunately, we'll have to wait before this sure-to-be-a-landmark legal case is resolved. A two-day trial was scheduled to begin today, but the Boulder Daily Camera reports that it's been pushed back to June 22.

A call to John Pineau, Burdick's lawyer, hasn't been returned at this writing; when and if it is, we'll update this blog. We certainly hope to hear a peep out of him, seeing as how the other Peeps will have to remain silent for almost three more months.
