Placenta poking encouraged at elementary school

Those of you still struggling with the trauma of having to dissect frogs during high school should thank the heavens above that you didn't attend Alpine Elementary School in Longmont.

Why? Because, according to Channel 4, fifth graders who took part in a demonstration about human circulation back in December were provided with surgical gloves and "encouraged to feel, poke and prod" human placenta. After which they were served a big lunch featuring tripe and offal.

Okay, we're joking about that last part. But just try to eat after watching this.
