Brian Bonsall, former Family Ties child star, pleads guilty, gets work release, community service, probation
The latest legal chapter in the up-and-down life of Brian Bonsall, former child star and Family Ties cast member, has been closed.Three faces of Brian Bonsall that "Family Ties" fans never could have imagined.
As the Boulder Daily Camera reports, Bonsall pleaded guilty to felony menacing and third-degree assault. In exchange, he's been sentenced to forty hours of community service, five days in work release and two years' probation. He may also participate in Boulder County's integrated treatment court as a way to deal with his substance abuse issues.
If these efforts work as everyone hopes, Bonsall won't get a chance to add to the sterling photos above, which gained him entry into our Busted Former Child Star Mug Shot Hall of Fame.
