Erik Osborn has a new address: Denver County Jail

Eric Osborn, the disgraced developer behind One Lincoln Park, was back in Denver District Court this week for a second trial, again involving a charge of felony theft connected with one of his real estate projects.

In December, a jury had convicted Osborn on two charges of felony theft, for diverting $250,000 that such high-profile investors as "Dealin' Doug" Moreland had given him for One Lincoln Park, but were instead used for other projects. Osborn was facing up to 24 years in that case, but earlier this month he was sentenced to ten years in community corrections -- essentially designer ankle bracelets.

But now Osborn is back behind bars.

Yesterday, he was again found guilty of felony theft, and his bond was immediately revoked.

This case involved 1800 Glenarm Place, an office building only a few blocks from One Lincoln Park that Osborn planned to redevelop, with funds provided by capital-funds manager Michelle Brokaw and former Boulder mayor Bob Greenlee, among others; he'd met Brokaw and Greenlee at the One Lincoln Park groundbreaking. And again, those funds were diverted to other Osborn projects.

Until his indictment by two Denver grand juries, Osborn was living the good life, with a pricey home in the Polo Club.

Now he has another date in court on May 27 -- when he'll be sentenced for this conviction. And until then, he has a new address: Denver County Jail.
