"Takeover-style" robbers hit Bank of the West in Northglenn
Usually, the FBI doesn't highlight bank robbers until after the Rocky Mountain Safe Streets Task Force has given them a nickname -- like the H1N1 bandit, the Tom Thumb Bandit, the Band-Aid Bandit or the alleged (and just-captured) Portfolio Bandit.
Taking over on Monday.
But in the case of the three men who robbed a Bank of the West in Northglenn on Monday, the feds aren't waiting, due in part to their violent technique: They wielded at least one weapon while snatching and grabbing "takeover-style."
How about calling them the Takeover Bandits? Check out more photos and the FBI release below:

A bank robbery occurred on Monday, May 17, 2010, at approximately 11:22 a.m. at theBank of the West

Northglenn, ColoradoThe suspects were described as 3 black males, late teens to early 20's.
The suspects were armed with at least one handgun and robbed the bank in a "takeover style" method.
Bank robbery is punishable by a twenty year prison sentence for each offense and increases if a dangerous weapon is used in the commission of the crime.
The FBI continues to provide financial institutions with the best practices for security to make them less vulnerable to robberies.
