Westboro Baptist Church haters threaten to picket funeral of Golden's Sgt. Grant Wichmann
The appalling Bible-twisters at the Westboro Baptist Church are at it again.
Fred Phelps's evil flock is at it again.
Less than two weeks ago, the WBC horror show rolled into Colorado, targeting a variety of schools, synagogues and more. While here, they spread their usual brand of ignorance: Check out this post about a seven-year old pretty sure God hates Jews.
Now, the Westboro forces are announcing that they'll picket the Friday funeral in Englewood of Golden's Grant Wichmann, a Fort Carson-based sergeant who died last month from wounds suffered in Afghanistan. And while they don't always show up when they promise, their recent visit raises the ominous possibility that they'll make an already awful day for Wichmann's family worse. Below, find the WBC release, which ends with the words, "Thank God for IEDs."

Sgt. Wichmann gave his life for the Constitutional right of WBC to warn America. To deny us our First Amendment rights is to declare to the world that Sgt. Wichmann died in vain, and that America is a nation of sodomite hypocrites.

The Lord no longer builds the American house; nor does the Lord watch over and protect America. These soldiers are dying for the homosexual and other sins of America. God is now America's enemy, and God Himself is fighting against America.
