Jordan Sankel: Doctor accused of improperly examining his kids' nanny

Jordan Sankel is a doctor with South Denver Anesthesiologists, and the background spelled out in Sankel's bio is impressive. He's a graduate of the New York University School of Medicine, did residencies at the University of Vermont and a hospital in Santa Barbara, and is a board-certified member of five major medical societies. But today, he's in the news for accusations that he sexually assaulted the 22-year-old woman who takes care of his children. Get the details in the Denver District Attorney's Office release below:

DOCTOR CHARGED WITH SEXUAL ASSAULT ON CAREGIVER

Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey has formally charged a man accused of sexually assaulting a young woman he had hired to help care for his children.

Jordan Sankel (dob: 01-13-64) is charged with one count of sexual assault (F4).

On July 15, 2010, Denver police responded to a metro area hospital on a report of a sexual assault that had occurred in Denver. The 22-year-old victim told police that she had been sexually assaulted by Dr. Jordan Sankel at his home in Denver. Sankel was arrested on July 24, 2010 and has been released from custody on a $10,000 bond.

He is scheduled to appear in Denver County Courtroom 2100 on August 9, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. to be formally advised of the charge.
