Ali Hasan -- make that Muhammed Ali Hasan -- challenges Laura Ingraham on Fox News

• Who's "they"? What's "their" right to build the community center with a gym and prayer romm 2 blocks from the formern Trade Center have to do with "Obama's policies"? Are we dealing with a little bit of "entitled christian conservative white guy angry about people other than white conservative christians having the same rights as good conservative white christians"? The very idea that the lunatic christian right has latched on to this non controversy exposes the gleefull willingness of the republicans to use narrow rubes such as yourself to advance them politically. It exposes your reticence in admitting you believe people who don't look like you, with a different set of religious beliefs than you are inferior to you. But you do. Check your post again, "toadally". You gave yourself away with the tortured logic. The President is only half white, true. He didn't ask your permission as a good white conservative christian to run for president, true again. He won. Your candidates, thank God, lost. Get fucking over it. Or just join the glenn beck hoard and admit you hate every thing not white and christian. Maybe "coming out" will do you good.

• Ali Hasan's argument goes like this, "they have a Constitutional right to build it, which means building it is the correct thing to do, and anyone who disagrees is a bigot." He isn't much different from the leftists in this country who shout down anyone who disagrees with Obama's policies with their accusations of racism. I'm no fan of Laura Ingraham's, but it was good to see her call him on his bull.

• Help me out with the part about "the Imam's controversial comments". But before you do, 2 things: 1) Tell me or reference me exactly what the Imam said. Not what you or gingrich, palin, ingraham, caplis, hannity, boyles etc interpreted his comments to mean.....once again, exactly what he said. Don't even think about trying the "what he didn't say" dodge with me. Exactly what he said, when he said it. Who he said it to, and what he said it about. Check out the year the U.S. State Department started using him as a bridge to muslims world wide. "Controversial comments" tend to fire up the teabaggers, espescially when those "controversial comments" are said to be uttered by "certain ethnicities". Angry one issue teabaggers tend to vote republican. It's the dog whistle the republicans blow every election cycle. Remember '08? Obama the angry black man, sitting in the same church as Reverand Wright? (It actually seems contradicting. Reverand Wright's a christian. Is fox reporting that the President a christian or a muslim?) They report, you get dizzy. You're responding to the conservative dog whistle. 2) Are you saying that the rights of the private investors to build a community center with a prayer room 2 blocks from the former Trade Center on private property with private funds come secondary to the infamous "this just ain't right in christian America" argument? If we decide that the Constitution doesn't apply to these people, who's next? What happens when it's common policy to circumvent the Constitution because some people "don't like this right"? Your title implies you're a lawyer. Or that you graduated from law school. Judging from your take on the rights of these people vs. the republican desire that they be usurped, you really need to ask for your money back.

• You've got to be kidding. Laura cleaned his clock. He get repeating the same talking point about the constitution permitting the mosque. She conceded that and wanted to move on from there to the wisdom of building the Cordoba project at that particular site. She interrupted him only to keep him from repeating the identical talking point and to answer the question. He never did answer it. He also looked like a fool - the bolo tie looked hideous and he looks like he's been really enjoying the much better cusine in LA. He also refused to distance himself from the Imam's controversial comments. He repeats a lot that he's a Republican, but not much he says or does reflects that. Maybe it's because I know how he really feels about challenging women, but Ali displayed a sort of latent sexism towards Laura - an anger that belied his supposed patience. Too bad she didn't take the opportunity to go into what a spoiled little rich boy "film maker" he is.
