Breastfeeding mom told to "wrap it up" at LoveSac store: Possible nurse-in protest?

Not all stores and businesses in Colorado understand the state's breastfeeding laws. But an increasing number of women here do, and they're standing up for their rights. Example: Following negative publicity generated by Sandy Snow's being asked to leave a Colorado Rockies game for breastfeeding, the Rockies wrote her an apology letter.

Now, the story of a Boulder woman told to leave a local LoveSac store for breastfeeding is drawing criticism as well.

The story comes to us courtesy of the Boulder Daily Camera, which notes that the woman involved in the LoveSac incident, who was reportedly told by a store employee to "wrap it up," has not revealed her name. However, she shared an account of the incident on a local website, where it caught the attention of Kristine Lauria, who describes herself as a "lactivist" who advocates on behalf of breastfeeding moms everywhere.

As Lauria notes in an accompanying Camera video, she spoke to the folks at LoveSac's FlatIron Crossing outlet on the woman's behalf. And she may not stop there: Lauria tells the paper about a possible protest at the store, which she refers to as a "nurse-in." The goal of such an event would be to further spread the message that breastfeeding is legal here in virtually every setting imaginable.
