Dean Singleton says Dan Maes "probably isn't competent to be dog catcher"

• The Denver Post's writers are woefully deficient in spelling, punctuation, usage, grammar, and syntax. They have no concept of journalistic ethics, and routinely fail to include the Who, What, Where, Why, When, and How in stories. The Denver Post conducted a massive propaganda campaign against medical cannabis last year. Their deliberate lies, distortions, and selective coverage convinced the only group stupid enough to believe them (i.e. just about everyone in government) that some kind of unspecified emergency demanded the suspension of the Constitution. At Mr. Singleton's behest, the State has tried to turn back the clock more than a decade, and has only created an enormous bureaucratic mess and a fantastic liability for its wildly irresponsible and illegal acts in the process. Mr. Singleton, you are an imbecile, an ass, and a parasite on our State. Your goods should be confiscated to begin to compensate the People of Colorado for the harm you have done. Denver would be far better off if the Post went out of business tomorrow, with genuine opportunities for the practice of journalism. Can Denver sustain a daily newspaper? We won't know until someone makes a go of it.

• For thoss interested in history it was The Denver Post that covered up the whoring of Democrat Roy Romer. It was The Denver Post that argued the convicted cannibal Alfred Packer should be let loose. It was The Denver Post that covered up John Hickenlooper's criminal activities.

• Dean, if you're listening, you could be qualified to be dog catcher or supreme court justice or even president (I actually doubt all three of those...), but regardless, I wouldn't wipe my a$$ with your newspaper. It leans too far to one side for most people and is soft on too many issues. No matter, it will go the way of the Rocky Mountain News sometime in the near future.

• This is the same guy who ordered his then-liberal editorial board to endorse Dubya in 2004, and then only because Singleton was hoping a more friendly FCC would let him own both a newspaper and a TV or radio station in the same city.

• And Dean Singleton isn't competent enough to run a weekly newspaper much less a major metro, not that you can say the Post is major in anything other than crap. Who cares what that POS says. There's a reason there's only one newspaper in town and it's a garbage rag at that. See the above picture of the doofus.

• Singleton has done zero public service and never has even tried to be a candidate for public office. He may not be as qualified as Dan Maes, but he could at least put his money where his mouth is. But I strongly suspect he is a coward and a sissy, and I am confident hundreds of thousands view Singleton much the same: a carpetbagger out to hustle a buck from anyone and anything, regardless of the morality and social responsibility. He cannot leave the United States soon enough to take up residency on the 19th hole of a Costa Rica golf course alongside others of his ilk.
