Temple Grandin.
Temple Grandin, the autistic CSU prof named one of Time's 100 most influential people, was exuberant as Temple Grandin, the HBO movie named for her, virtually swept the TV-flick category at last night's Emmy Awards. She popped up from her spot in the audience several times, waving wildly, and stormed the stage when the biopic earned the best-movie honor, goading her mom to stand and be recognized. And all on her 63rd birthday.

It was a fabulous moment of triumph of recognition for the entire autism community, as well as anyone with a functioning heart. Look below to see a video of her cameo during best-actress Claire Danes's acceptance speech.
