Temple Grandin, CSU prof, is happiest-ever Emmy-award-winning-TV-movie subject

• Excellent! I just saw the film a few weeks ago and enjoyed it, having read about Ms. Grandin years ago in the New Yorker. I especially like to recommend it to vegans -- though mostly for their reaction (as opposed to any hope that they'd actually watch it). Temple Grandin exposes a delicious rift among animal rights extremists, PETA having given her its 'Proggy' award in 2004 and high praise for making slaughterhouses less cruel (and more efficient, which is how her design principles became widely applied) and thereby earning criticism for condoning their existence from those still less compromising. My only criticism of the movie is that it seemed occasionally superficial. I suspect that irrespective of her insights into autism (and her hugging machine) Temple Grandin's success can't be easily replicated just because she is so very exceptional among autistics and possessed of an enormous compensatory intelligence.
