Tom Tancredo and Michelle Malkin -- the new dream team?

• Yvonne, If you think Ms. Malkin is educated re: the Constitution, you'd better take a civics class. Her rhetoric is blatantly fear mongering, and her reasoning is based in the republican boiler plate race bating. Seriously.

• I am a new resident of Colorado, though I have been following Colorado politics for some time. I do not espouse the Republican or Democrat viewpoints and am proudly registered as an Independent. I am NOT a "teabagger," just as some liberal talking heads may suggest, with regard to anyone who is pro Constitution and conservative. I find it interesting that those who claim to be so smart tend to throw out third-grade name calling insults in lieu of intelligent comments. Come on, you guys can do better than that! Or maybe not. Michelle Malkin is an articulate, responsible human being who can clearly say what so many of us Americans are thinking.

• Step right on board the Titanic, Miss Malkin!

• Michele Malkin should be on Maes' side not Tancredo. If she just does her homework she'll find Tancredo an unsuitable candidate to run along aside. TARP, bailouts, "guaranteed jobs", and threats against the GOP twice. And a desperation to get back the 1.1 million he lost to Madoff's scandal.

• levotb, I totally agree with you. I have made one small donation to Tancedo when he first asked. As soon as I know he is in this for good I will contribute again, especially if Malkin is in it.

• Great post, Rachel, and I totally agree. Maes is a joke and should call it quits. The Republicans don't need to nominate another candidate. All they have to do is vote for Tom on November 2nd...or Tom and Michelle!

• Rachel, you really need to widen your circle of friends. As for Malkin, isn't she an anchor baby? Yes, indeedy. Born here in the first year of her parents' visa.

• Tom Tancredo and Michelle Malkin would be a conservative Dream Team. Regardless of who Tancredo runs with, everyone I know from Colorado will be voting for him, and I think even with a split vote he will beat Hickenlooper. Hickenlooper had at least one illegal alien that worked in his restaurant that ended up killing a police officer in Denver. The public will not forget that fact. He is part of the cheap labor industry.

• Naw. I can't see it being either Malkin or Doug Bruce. Tancredo wants all the attention for himself, he'd never nominate someone who'd steal the spotlight away from him. Tanc would be more likely to run with the reanimated corpse of Admiral Stockdale than either of these two. I predict some law-and-order anti-immigration type who doesn't scan well on TV.

• LB, What is 1Y's solution for the illegal "pro amnesty" dilemma? Mass deportation? How do we move these illegals out? Who pays for it? Will we hire a new work force? Federal monies? State? Private contractors? Will the ultimate teabagger use a "big government" solution, asking that mean and rotten Federal Government to get involved? SB 1070 isn't real clear on penalties on companies hiring undocumenteds. How will 1Y handle the messy case of prosecution of very wealthy people that hire these "undocumenteds"? Kind of complicated when you get past the hyperbole and into the nitty gritty of actually solving problems.

• Michelle Malkin is her own person and like Tom Tancredo she doesn't follow the "R" GOP line. She would make a great Lt. Governor but she is so valuable at what she does. She spoke very highly of Mr. Tancredo this morning on KHOW and essentially said that we don't need a "governor in training". I'd say she will be helping Tom get elected before too long. She's so good on every issue and especially illegal immigration. With John McCain and Juan Hernandez being best buddies of Silverio Salazar who are pro amnesty, speaks volumes. Silverio Salazar seconded Maes nomination at the state assembly. So she definitely is not in the Maes camp. Any connection with Juan Hernandez is a no go for Michelle Malkin. Juan Hernandez is not Malkin's "friend". That you can count on.

• Tom already has my vote and I would love for Malkin run with him. I've been a Republican all my life, but I'm not voting for Maes. The liberals would go nuts...I see they already are.

• Even better. Good catch, Beavis. The best part of that one is that, like a typical conservative, bruce rails on government, people who work for the government, taxes paid for government, government intrusion, big government......all while trying to get elected to a, wait for it.........GOVERNMENT JOB!!!!!!!!!! Now that's a ronni reagan desciple if I ever saw one!

• Nah, I still say it's going to be TABOR architect, Grover Norquist disciple ("I don't want to abolish government. I simply want to reduce it to the size where I can drag it into the bathroom and drown it in the bathtub.") and Tea Klanner darling (especially after his kicking of a Rocky Mountain News photographer on the statehouse floor) Douglas Bruce.

• It's too good to be true! But that's what I said when 1Y got drunk at Caldara's concealed carry chugging contest last month and announced. If she does, it's win win. For everybody. Except dan. The way right loons pump 1Y's numbers to sink miles, splitting the red vote and giving Hick the win. As for malkin, she can run the same con trailer park barbie's been goin' with on book tours. "Former candidate". Well, maybe not exactly. She can't go with "Former half term Governor before she quit amid scandal and prospects for better money" like sarah can.
