Remember that scene in Goodfellas where Tommy (Joe Pesci) responds to a compliment from Henry (Ray Liotta) about a joke by seemingly building up to a homicidal freak out -- "Funny like a clown, I amuse you?" -- before revealing that he was only putting everyone on? A similar scene at a Denver McDonald's allegedly involving Erick Munoz-Garibay didn't have such a happy ending.

The Erick Munoz-Garibay arrest affidavit from the Denver Police Department has the details about an incident at a South Broadway McDonald's on September 23 just shy of 2 a.m.

According to the report, three unidentified individuals were in a car in the restaurant's drive-through lane laughing and joking among themselves. At that point, Munoz-Garibay, 21, allegedly walked by and, hearing the uproar, asked, "What the fuck, you laughing at me?"

To that, one of the men in the car reportedly said, "You better check yourself." Instead, the document continues, Munoz-Garibay jumped a small fence and approached the vehicle while pulling a knife. That prompted the man in the right front passenger seat to leave the car and kick Munoz-Garibay in the legs to try to keep him at bay.

Didn't work: Munoz-Garibay is said to have stabbed the man in the stomach.

At that point, it was on. The narration says the other two men left the car and began fighting with Munoz-Garibay, resulting in both of them being stabbed in spots like the side, the chest and on the head. Then Munoz-Garibay allegedly split in the company of four other people -- three men, one woman.

The getaway was short-lived. One of Munoz-Garibay's companions allegedly told a staffer at a nearby Conoco about the stabbings. When cops subsequently questioned the companion, he reportedly fingered Munoz-Garibay, who he said had recently been released from El Paso County Jail.

If the affidavit proves true, Munoz-Garibay could be heading back to a similar haunt. Page down to see a larger photo of Munoz-Garibay, as well as to read a release about attempted murder and assault charges filed against him by the Denver District Attorney's Office:
