The murder conviction of Douglas Taylor in the May 2009 arson death of Jose de Jesus Martinez Espinoza isn't the only recent resolution to a case from our Mile High Murder archives. Ricardo Soto has pleaded guilty to manslaughter in the death of John McGaughy-Singleton. Details and a photo of Soto below.

Last November, we told you about shootings near Club Posh following a Halloween night bash. Several days later, McGaughy-Singleton, 29, died of his wounds.

The case didn't get much publicity beyond reports about the initial incident and memories of McGaughy-Singleton shared by wife Maria Singleton-McGaughy, which she shared in this space. But the incident wasn't forgotten, and this past March, Soto was charged with the first-degree murder. Here are the specifics courtesy of the Denver District Attorney's Office:

MAN CHARGED IN HALLOWEEN SHOOTINGS

Denver District Attorney Mitch Morrissey has formally charged a man in connection with a deadly shooting that took place in the early morning hours of November 1, 2009.

Ricardo Soto (DOB: 07-18-89) is charged with first-degree murder (F1), attempted first-degree murder (F2), and first-degree assault (F3).

The charges allege that in the early morning hours of November 1, 2009, Soto was involved in an altercation outside a nightclub that resulted in a triple shooting. Denver police responded to 4040 East Evans Avenue and found two victims suffering from gunshot wounds. A third victim later sought treatment at a local hospital. One victim, 29-year-old John McGaughy-Singleton, died a few days later as a result of the injuries sustained from the gunshots.

Soto remains in custody in the Denver County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in Denver County Court, room 472W, on March 31, 2010 to be formally advised of the charges.

In the end, Soto accepted lesser charges. Page down to see his photo, as well as more details from the Denver DA's office:
