Tom Tancredo, Dan Maes and Campaign 2010: More twists and turns than the Mind Eraser!

On Tuesday, when Tom Tancredo was waiting to see if he would stay on the ballot, the American Constitution Party candidate for governor overtook official Republican Party candidate Dan Maes in the polls. It was just the latest thrill in a campaign that has had more twists and turns than the Mind Eraser.

Tuesday was also the day that the current edition of Westword was on the press, which added to our suspense. We wondered: Would Tancredo get bumped off the ballot -- and in the process make the incredible two-page campaign cartoon feature by Kenny Be obsolete before our paper hit the street?

As it turned out, Tancredo held on to his seat for this rollercoaster ride. No doubt more twists and turns lie ahead, but in the meantime, you can find Kenny's cartoon here.
