Broncos did better than Bears in Jay Cutler for Kyle Orton swap, says ESPN's Adam Schefter

• Others in the media have said the same for some time. Schefter's just jumping on the temporary bandwagon, as usual. I am an Orton fan, I agree that I'd rather have Kyle than Jay, but please stop quoting that clown Adam Schefter. People around here must have short memories. Schefter was a total bozo when he was local here (remember "Adam's Angle?" etc on local sports?) - or his bogus restaurant review in the papers ... "I give the French Laundry 5 footballs!" Schefter is living proof that these days quantity trumps quality. He will "outwork" 90% of his competition, but the quality of his "work" is mostly crap. I had the misfortune of sharing a flight from Chicago to Denver with Schefter - while all the other Denver media guys on the plane were good people just looking to get home, Schefter spent the majority of the flight standing up facing the tail section, in hopes someone / anyone would recognize him. My wife and I were in stitches watching him try to get noticed. After about an hour he finally gave up and sat down. Even the Denver media guys were making jokes about it. Vanity aside, my main true beef with Schefter is his penchant to create rumors that have no bearing of truth, - just to keep his name out front. When these rumors eventually prove to be false, they quietly die and Schefter is nowhere to be found and rarely is he found accountable for retraction. Schefter is living proof that sheer mediocrity can triumph if it gets enough exposure and manages to last long enough. If you're going to quote somebody, please quote someone with a rep for accuracy and some credibility.
