• P.S. Sorry I got distracted from Kenny's cartoon -- may that saucer full of freaks wing its way out into the cosmos rather than Colorado be reduced to scrabbling for jobs selling fast food!

• I won't vote for DeGette, not because of any association with Nancy Pelosi (as if that were a concern of anyone other than a few dupes mindlessly repeating the Rethuglican leadership's yapping points), but because she is disregarding the strong plurality of her constituents who support patients' right to use cannabis. DeGette refusal to support the very modest proposals before the House to give Colorado and other state's medical cannabis patients the right to a defense in Federal courts puts her at odds with most voters in the First Congressional District, who have voted repeatedly not only for patients' rights, but to re-legalize adult possession of cannabis generally over the past ten years -- it should go without saying that she has no interest in desperately needed sentencing reform. DeGette does support (as do I) women's right to abortion; this might become legislatively relevant should the Supreme Court overturn Roe v. Wade -- it has not, and DeGette is well nigh on to useless.

• Has anyone seen the Mike Fallon ads and signs all over the city? Degette should be very scared her ties to Pelosi are about finished. Fallon's ads are very honest without a lot of trashing Degette (She does that herself as evidenced in the spot) While I know everyone thinks Degette is a safe DEM seat, I gotta say, Denver is a very wise city and the people know when they've had enough. Fallon, regardless of party, gets my vote and sounds like he's got the right values to get the job done.
